Thronebreaker: The Witcher Tales is now available to pre-order. The single player counterpart to Gwent: The Witcher Card Game, will set you back $30.00 or your regional equivalent. Initially planned as a single player mode to the free-to-play card game, the project has evolved into something of its own in the meantime.
"Thronebreaker is a single player role-playing game set in the world of The Witcher that combines narrative-driven exploration with unique puzzles and card battle mechanics. The game spins a truly regal tale of Meve, a war-veteran queen of two Northern Realms — Lyria and Rivia. Facing an imminent Nilfgaardian invasion, Meve is forced to once again enter the warpath, and set out on a dark journey of destruction and revenge."
Players should expect around 30 hours of gameplay and 20 possible world states. The adventure will take them to places such as Lyria, Rivia, Aedirn and Mahakham, which have yet to be featured in the other Witcher games. Thronebreaker: The Witcher Tales is set to release on October 23rd on PC through GOG.com, with the PS4 and Xbox One releases following on December 4th.
