Wii U Launching Before the Year's End
News by Bruno Sampaio on Jan 26, 2012
Nintendo just confirmed that the Wii U, their newest console that promises stunning HD graphics and an awkward looking tablet controller, will be arriving this holiday season. Because our admins would rather have more than a single line as a news post, here are some other interesting information regarding the Wii U in 2012.

When your controller is the size of the console, something feels wrong.
First, Nintendo of America president Reggie Fils-Aime mentioned that the Wii U will not follow the "ultra cheap" business model of the Wii. In fact, he says the Wii U will be rather expensive, being targeted at those who want the latest tech in terms of console gaming. Supposedly, the Wii and the Wii U will be sold side by side, with the Wii providing the family friendly casual experience, and the Wii U being the "super high tech hardcore" system. But that doesn't necessarily mean you need to buy both, as not only the Wii U supports all of his little brother's accessories and controllers, but it is also backwards compatible with Wii games.
And if you're still skeptical because of the confusing E3 2011 conference, don't worry. Nintendo promised a re-announcement of the Wii U at this year's E3, this time with actual games and a better explanation of the hardware and its possibilities. Considering that there has yet to be a developer doing anything other than praising the Wii U to heavens, I would expect a good third party support too.
