33 Immortals Guide | How to Get Purgatorio Keys

Finding items in 33 Immortals usually requires clearing out Torture Chambers or beating elite monsters. However, you cannot get Purgatorio Keys that way. Instead, you have to find and fight Lucifer, who is the main boss of the Inferno area.

To get to Lucifer, you first need to help your team complete Torture Chambers when they pop up on your map.

Once you clear enough of them, Ascension Battles will unlock. You then have to run to one of the three arena spots on the map and survive waves of incoming monsters. After you kill all the regular enemies and elite monsters, you will get the chance to move up in 33 Immortals.

Just hold down E on your keyboard or A on your controller to use Ascend. This teleports you and the other alive players right to the boss fight. It is a smart idea to bring a fully upgraded weapon to this fight.

Beating the Boss for Keys

Fighting Lucifer is hard. He has 10 bars of health, so you and the other players have to work together to lower his health bar by bar.

The good news is that you do not actually have to kill him to walk away with a Purgatorio Key. As long as your team damages him enough to drop his health down from 10 bars to 7 bars, you win a key. You can use this item to open up the way to Purgatorio from the Dark Woods.

Every time you knock off a health bar from Lucifer, you get one or two Eternal Shards. The game gives you a guaranteed Purgatorio Key the moment his health hits 7 bars, and another one when it hits 4 bars in 33 Immortals.

If your group manages to defeat Lucifer completely, he drops a Legendary Chest that holds yet another key for you.

Using Your Keys

These items are very important for moving forward in the game because they let you see new content past the Inferno stage.

When you first start out, getting these keys feels hard because the game has a high difficulty level. But as you raise your Feat Level and get better at the combat, fighting the boss gets a lot easier in 33 Immortals.

Keep in mind that these keys disappear after a single use. Every single time you walk into Purgatorio, the game takes one key away from your inventory.

Since Purgatorio is much harder than the normal areas, you should probably practice the basic mechanics of the game before you use a key to go inside.
