ANNO: Mutationem Guide | All Side Missions in Skopp City

A guide on how to complete all side missions in Skopp City in ANNO: Mutationem.

Game Guide by Groot on  Dec 17, 2025

Side missions in ANNO: Mutationem are not complex, but several of them can easily slow you down if you miss small details or misunderstand what the game expects you to do. Skopp City, in particular, contains a group of side quests that rely on observation, movement between floors, and careful interaction with NPCs.

This guide walks you through every Skopp City side mission step by step so you can complete them without backtracking or confusion. You will be guided on where to go, who to talk to, and what choices you can make, all while keeping the original flow of the game intact.

Find The Suspect (Bonnie Parker Murder Investigation)

One of the earliest side missions you can take in Skopp City is a murder investigation. Start by looking through the peephole of Bonnie Parker’s apartment door, which is located just to the left of the elevator. After seeing her body, you will report the incident, and a police officer named Ingrid will arrive. She will then hire you to assist with the investigation.

Before finishing this quest, make sure you explore all floors of the apartment building, as you will lose access to them once the mission is complete.

Begin your investigation on the sixth floor, where you will find an apartment that closely resembles the victim’s room. The main difference is the talisman above the altar, which is split into three pieces instead of six. This detail is a hint directing you to another floor. Move down to the third floor, where you will find a similar room with the talisman broken into two pieces. Continue to the second floor, where the talisman is divided into four pieces.

After observing these rooms, head to the fourth floor. During the elevator ride, you will be transported into a strange pocket dimension. Move to the right while completing light platforming until you reach a stretch that seems endless. After running forward briefly, turn back, and you will find the elevator again, this time with the suspect inside. Speak with him to complete the mission. Your reward includes credits, 20 Grombits, and one Grom Upgrade Point.

Ask The Antique Shop Owner For Information

As you try to leave the apartment building, you will be stopped by Blind Jacket, who is upset about someone throwing junk from the balcony on the eighth floor. After accusing several residents, he will hire you to identify the culprit and hand you a destroyed antique computer.

Take the computer to the used goods store located above Alan’s Research Base. The shop owner will inform you that the computer was purchased by residents of Apartment 710, which is located next to your room on the eighth floor. Return there and speak with the two men arguing inside.

Although the game never explicitly tells you who is responsible, you can deduce the culprit from the opening sequence, where the larger brother is seen throwing the computer during an argument. Accuse either resident and return to Blind Jacket. Regardless of your choice, you will receive 20 Experience Points and complete the mission.

Find The Weapon Blueprint

Visit the weapons shop and speak with Dynamite, who will tell you that his weapon blueprints were stolen. He will inform you that the thieves are located in Freeway 42. Since you will travel there during the main story, accept the quest without concern.

While progressing through Freeway 42, the second Rock Crab enemy you encounter will drop the damaged blueprints. Return them to Dynamite to complete the mission. Your reward includes the Greatsword: Vocalis, a Cryptokey, and 30 Grombits.

The Man In The Sewer

While exploring Skopp City, you can interact with a man hiding in the sewer by speaking to a manhole cover located to the left of the street rock band. He will ask you for a Minty Delight.

Purchase the Minty Delight from a nearby vendor south of the manhole location. Return to the sewer and give it to the man. In exchange, you will receive a Cyber Neko, completing the mission.

Find The Suspect (Searching For The Intruder)

This side mission becomes available only after completing the Freeway 42 section of the game. Speak with the police officer standing to the right of the Minty Delight stand in the southeastern area of Skopp City. You will be tasked with finding an unidentified intruder.

Use your scanning ability to reveal and follow footprints, which are only visible while scanning. Follow the trail, and you will get to the northwest part of the city, where you will see a woman and her broken robot dog.

You can either give her credits to help repair the dog or report her to the authorities. Regardless of your decision, the mission will end the same way, and you will receive a Cryptokey as your reward.

Trace The Lead Singer

Speak with AD, who will tell you that Apollo, the lead singer of Kill Templar, has gone missing. He will suggest that you speak with Oedipus, who may know something. You can find Oedipus in Noctis City, playing guitar near the club.

After talking with him, he will direct you to the ROM Vendor, stating that Apollo had dealings there. The vendor will reveal that Apollo’s memories were wiped and that he disappeared afterward.

Return to Skopp City and report back to AD. You can choose to say that Apollo is dead or that his memories were erased. The outcome does not change. You will receive 40 Experience Points and a Cryptokey.

Freeway 42 Side Missions

Freeway 42 is not in Skopp City, but its side tasks are linked to and often done with activities in Skopp City.

Collect The Mysterious Coins

Talk to Thomas after you beat Mother Grub. He will ask you to get him ten gold coins as a test. Most of the coins in Freeway 42 are in obvious loot boxes. Three coins, however, are hidden somewhere that is harder to get to.

To find them, go left of the area where you fight the Rock Crab. Once you have the double jump ability, reach the two elevated platforms and open the chest to collect the coins.

After gathering all ten coins, return to Thomas, then take them to Ayane’s Pharmacist Friend in Skopp City for analysis. Completing this quest rewards you with credits and a Cryptokey.

Repair The Cable Car

Speak with the Commander, who will ask for your help repairing the cable car. You must defeat several mutants holding missing parts. These enemies are unavoidable and encountered naturally while progressing toward the boss.

After collecting all parts, interact with the computer located to the right of the Absalom boss arena. This will complete the mission. You will receive a Cryptokey, some Grombits, and permanent access to the cable car.

Provide The Man With An Arc Draught

Near the Commander, you will find a man interested in trying a colored drink. He asks for an Arc Draught.

Travel to Noctis City and purchase the Arc Draught from a vending machine in the southeastern area. Return to Freeway 42 and give the drink to the underground tribe member. You will receive a Cryptokey, completing the final side mission.
