Getting the Hwando is a great way to start your journey. It is the best early game weapon in Crimson Desert.

This two-handed katana hits hard and is a big step up from your first gear. If you want a Hwando location guide or a unique weapon that makes fights easier, follow these steps.

Preparation and Shopping

To get this two-handed sword, you need a Mask and a Key. You can find these while looting, but the fastest way is to go to a shop. Look for an NPC merchant standing just south of Hernand. Buy both items and put the Mask on your character in Crimson Desert.

Finding the Lioncrest Manor

Go to the top left area of Hernand to find Lioncrest Manor. You will see two buildings when you get there. One is the large manor and the other is a house to the left. Many Guards stand outside. If you want the Hwando katana without fighting them, you have to be quiet.

Stealing the Manor Key

Head to the building where people are gathered. You can watch them to learn how to Counter, but your goal is the window on the second floor.

Climb the wall and go through the window during the day. Do not go at night, or Cleaners and Handmaids will see you. Find the Key on the table. Wait for the bar on your screen to go away before you leave. This keeps you from getting in trouble.

Unlocking the Hwando Chest

Now go to the smaller building near the manor. Find the wooden window near the roof and climb inside. There is a door right next to you. Use your Key to open it and walk into the room. You will see a chest that glows on the floor.

Open it to get your Hwando and a Palmer Pill. This unique two-handed weapon has 19 Damage and is one of the strongest items you can find early on in Crimson Desert.
