To complete the Path of Trials Abyss in Crimson Desert, you have to manage your body heat. This Abyss Restoration Challenge uses a temperature system that affects your movement.

You can see your status on the gauge next to the radar. If you get too cold or too hot, your Stamina drops and you cannot use the Axiom Pull to reach high places.

Managing Your Temperature

Keep an eye on the gauge as it moves between cold, normal, and hot. To use the Axiom Pull early on, your heat needs to stay in the green zone.

If you are at the right temperature, you can leap up and use the Axiom Force to grab onto higher ledges. If you find yourself too cold to move well, stand near a fire to warm up in Crimson Desert.

Finding the Power Pad

Go to the middle area and head up the left side. You will find a piece of equipment stuck in a wall. To get it out, do not use the pull button.

Instead, rotate the Right Stick until the controller vibrates, then hold it steady to pop the part out, and focus your attention on the Abyss Power Cell that's close by. You'll see it's encased in ice, rendering it unable to conduct electricity.

Getting Rid of the Ice

The ice must be melted away from the Abyss Power Cell before it can be charged.

Carry it down to the main room where there are lava pits in Crimson Desert.

Drop the cell into the lava to warm it up. You may have to really push it into the heat, watching for a change in color. It's done when the ice disappears and the cell begins to thrum with electric energy. Just be careful – don't let yourself fall into the lava. It can be deadly.

Finalizing the Path

Once the cell is sparking with power, take it back to the top. If you are too hot from the lava, your Axiom Pull will not work, so you might have to climb the walls normally.

Place the charged cell into the Power Storage Unit. This finishes the main puzzle and grants you the Ice Ability.

To reach the exit, stand by a torch to reset your temperature, then use a Fist Pump followed by an Axiom Pull to reach the very top in Crimson Desert.
