In Dave the Diver, you get to go night diving early on, which means you have less time to manage the sushi bar. To help you get the hang of this new game feature, you have to catch a Moray Eel. This type of fish can only be seen during night dives. This guide shows where to find the Moray Eel and how to hook it easily in-game.

Unlocking the Night Dive Mission

In Chapter 2, Otto visits your sushi bar and orders a dish called Morey Curry, which requires a moray eel as an ingredient. You can start the sub-mission "A Noisy Customer" after talking to Otto. You can dive at night after completing this task, which also unlocks the Fish Farm. You can start your first night dive after leaving the bar as soon as the task begins.

Moray Eel Location

If you go night diving in the Blue Hole Shallows, you can see the Moray Eel. The eel is active during the day, but it stays out of sight in caves and strikes anything that gets close, so it is hard to catch safely. The eel can be found in open places at night.

The Moray Eel is seen at depths of more than 50 meters. It's usually about 35 meters below the surface, often in a central area of the shallow zone. You can only go on one night dive each day. Because of this, you should only focus on finding and getting the moray eel and not interact with other fish. The eel is marked with a blue cross to help you track its location during the task.

How to Catch the Moray Eel

The Moray Eel is hostile and tries to bite when you get close. It can be killed with a gun, but there are other ways to do it, too. If you want better-tasting meat, you should catch it rather than destroy it.
