Dragon Age: The Veilguard brings a decade-old RPG series back to the modern age from the ones behind the Mass Effect trilogy (ignoring the existence of Andromeda), BioWare. If you were wondering how many endings there are in Dragon Age: The Veilguard, there are three endings that you could get based on the choices you make on your journey. There is a true (good) ending, a neutral ending, and a bad ending.

You can actually get locked out of the good ending quite early on if you are not careful. There's also a secret post-credit scene where you have to go through some shenanigans to get it. Here's all you need to know about getting a good ending in Dragon Age: The Veilguard.

How To Get The True Ending

Complete All Companion Quests

There are two requirements to get the true ending in Dragon Age: The Veilguard. You need to complete all the companion quests that are available in the game. All your companions need to be Heroes of The Veilguard before the point of no return.

Don't worry, and the game will let you know when you reach the point of no return.

Given that you have to complete all companion quests, you will gain the favor of a lot of factions. It isn't strictly necessary to max out every single faction, though you will end up with most of them maxed out by the end. The only thing you must make sure is all your companions are alive before you reach the point of no return.

Side With Minrathous; Don't Save Traviso

Now, you can get away with saving Traviso by selling all your junk items to the respective factions and 3-star Traviso, but things will be a little bit more difficult, and it's possible to get locked out if you don't know what you are doing, so it's best if you just side with Minrathous instead.

Get The Essence of Mythal

For the second requirement to get the true ending, you need to get the Essence of Mythal. You need to answer three questions correctly when Mythal tests if you really deserve her aid in stopping the Veilguard. Once you have done that, you need to not challenge her to a fight.

Make The Right Choice (Minor Spoilers Ahead)

You will be given a really pivotal choice near the end of the game when speaking with Solas. One of the dialogue options is only available to you if you have the Essence of Mythal in your hands. Choose "More" and you should be able to see it. You'll need to use it to make that dialogue choice.
