Ghost of Yōtei Guide | How to Farm Ghost Flowers

Here’s how you can get your hands on the brand new Ghost Flowers.

The brand new Ghost of Yōtei update has a new currency called Ghost Flowers. These flowers are essential for upgrading weapon armor and charms, as well as getting your hands on cosmetics.

With the introduction of the Ghost Flowers, a bunch of weapons like Tanzutsu and Armor Sets can be leveled up beyond what they were capable of before. This guide will explain how you can get your hands on them to use them to their full potential.

Missions

The simplest way to earn Ghost Flowers is by completing missions, side quests, and Sensei Tales. The missions tend to give around 2-3 flowers through normal story progression.

The flowers accumulate steadily, so doing the missions or side quests will gradually contribute to the total. You can also complete bounties for vendors like Kojiro, the Bounty Hunter, who also rewards you with the flowers.

Exploring

The Ghost Flowers aren't limited to just doing the quests. A lot of the exploration activities tend to reward you with them as well. Going to places like the Hot Springs, Bamboo Strikes, Dens, and Pillars of the Fallen will often reward you with flowers when clearing objectives.

Shrine-related areas, like the altars of reflections and shrines themselves, are a quick way of gathering gold flowers, as you'll just need to interact with them. Clearing these areas in New Game+ will give you a great start for upgrading your gear.

Upgrades

Masujiro will be at the campsite on the northwest path from the base. He accepts Ghost Flowers in exchange for new armor sets, weapons, charms, hats, and masks. Utilizing the flower here is a great way to maximize upgrades and get additional perks like sake capacity.

Various charms, like the Charm Of Vanity, can also increase the duration of cooking perks by a large amount, and even allow cooking when you're not hungry, allowing you to get perks that you couldn't.

Charms & Cursed Items

Certain curse charms will affect how Ghost Flowers are gained. They can increase the chance of drops from enemies or missions, but they'll often come with trade-offs like higher spirit costs or certain disabled abilities.

Choosing them carefully can make farming much faster without putting you at a much of a disadvantage.
