Ghost of Yōtei Guide | How to Solve All Kitsune Puzzles

Here's a guide on how to solve all the Kitsune Puzzles in Ghost of Yōtei.

In Ghost of Yōtei, the Kitsune Quest is made up of a set of Puzzles that you need to solve to progress. This guide will show you, step-by-step, how to solve each Puzzle in the Quest, including the correct order of actions and where to put items to open every way.

Entering The Nine Tails Hideout

First, get close to the Fire Pit near the door and grab a Torch. The Braziers need to be lit in a particular order. Start by lighting the Brazier on the front right. Then light the back left Brazier. After you finish the process, the door to the Nine Tails Hideout will open, letting you move on in Ghost of Yōtei.

Placing The Totem Statues

After entering the next area, investigate the Statue at the front to receive the prompt to find the others. Turn around to locate the first Totem Statue behind you and place it on the nearby Totem pedestal.

Next, head toward the area near the Fire Pit to collect the second Totem Statue. Once you pick it up, return to place it on the bright-hand Totem pedestal. This will allow you to advance further into the Quest in Ghost of Yōtei.

Copying The Cipher

You will soon reach a section where enemies must be defeated to proceed. After clearing the area, interact with the Cipher panel to copy the symbols. This step is necessary to determine the correct exit from the building.

Examine the fox Statues that display symbols above their heads and select the one that matches the copied Cipher. Doing so will unlock the exit, allowing you to leave the building.

Turning The Statues

Once you exit the building, you will encounter a Puzzle involving fox Statues that need to be rotated in a particular sequence to reach the upper building in Ghost of Yōtei.

Start with the far-right Statue and rotate it three times. Move to the next Statue and rotate it twice. Finally, go to the far-left Statue and rotate it once. Completing this sequence will unlock the path to continue forward.

Solving The Totem And Panel Puzzle

Continue along the Kitsune Questline until you reach a room containing more Statues and panels. First, pick up the left Statue and place it on the far-right Totem pedestal. Then collect the other Statue and place it on the left Totem pedestal.

Next, move to the center panels. Rotate the far-left panel three times. Then, rotate the middle panel twice. Once done, the path through the middle will open, allowing you to move downward.

Releasing Prisoners In The Cave

Proceed through the tunnel until you arrive at an area with Prison Cells. Interact with the central Statue to release the Prisoners and open the path to the other side. Continue through the cave to advance the Quest in Ghost of Yōtei.

Turning The Statues In The Cave

You will reach another Puzzle involving multiple fox Statues. Starting from the far-left Statue, rotate it once. Then move to the next Statue and rotate it once as well.

After that, rotate the front-right Statue once. Finally, rotate the last Statue three times. This will clear the path forward.

Lighting The Panels In The Forest

After progressing deeper into the Quest, you will arrive at a forest Puzzle. Begin by picking up the light source located nearby. Use it to ignite the first panel directly ahead of you.

Next, move to the back-right panel and ignite it, followed by the side panel next to it. Once all specified panels are lit, return to the pedestal and examine it to proceed in Ghost of Yōtei.

Rotating The Boxes In The Forest

In the middle of the forest, there is another Puzzle with three boxes that can be turned. Start on the left side of the box and turn it around once. After that, turn the middle box around twice. Last, move to the box on the far right and turn it three times. The way ahead will become clear after these rotations are done.

Unlocking The Wooden Door

The final Puzzle is located near a large Wooden Door. Begin by picking up the Statue from the Podium and placing it down. Next, pick up the right-hand Statue and move it to the left pedestal. Then pick up the remaining Statue and place it on the right pedestal.

Once both Statues are positioned correctly, the main wooden door will open, allowing you to proceed to the final section of the Quest in Ghost of Yōtei.
