Port of Messenia looks like a straight path, but there are a lot of collectibles hidden in quick side lanes. The most time-consuming thing is usually walking past a detour, hitting a new screen and then forgetting which door you skipped. The best way to do this is to treat the port like a loop. Clear one part, pick up everything around it, and then move on.

The Fastest Way to Get Through the Port of Messenia

Tag the first campsite to make the area safe to explore. After that, keep going normally, but stop at every ladder, scaffold, and hallway that looks like a dead end.

Port collectibles usually sit just off the main lane, especially when the road changes from vertical to horizontal. If a path splits, go down the shorter branch first, then come back to the main path with confidence.

Priority pickups that make the area feel "whole"

The port pickups that mean the most are the ones that show progress. Artifacts are the clear winner because they are easy to find and have meaning.

Sacred Monuments and Sacred Olive Trees are also important because they are often put in places that check to see if you are looking at the background and upper paths. Look for prompts to interact with props that look like they are just for show. In this area, decoration often means something hidden.

The Easy One to Forget: The Feline That Was Forgotten

If you're following Circe's request for the Forgotten Feline line, the port has an early idol that is very easy to walk past when you're in the middle of a fight.

These idols are often hidden behind walls that look suspicious or are placed just off-screen, so be careful when the path looks "too plain." After a fight, look in the corners because effects and loot popups can hide the interaction.

The "Progress Lock" Collectible: The Lycurgus Altar

The Lycurgus Altar is the kind of pickup that lets you know that the area has been fully explored, not just cleared. If you see anything that looks like a shrine interaction, stop there. Also, this is a good time to remember to sweep the screens nearby, since altars are often put near other hidden things.

Before You Go to the Port

Make sure you have hit every obvious vertical route at least once, and then do one last check for anything you missed during the fight. If the port still feels "unfinished," it's probably because one side hallway was left out near a ladder or scaffold. A two-minute rescan that takes its time saves a lot of time later.
