This guide covers everything you need to know about getting and using Rib, one of the Companion summons available in Hades. Rib provides tactical support by drawing enemy attention away from you during combat encounters in Hades.

Getting Rib

You can get Rib through Skelly's Favor Quest, which requires several steps to complete. First, you must give Skelly six bottles of Nectar. After providing the Nectar, Skelly will make his Favor Quest known to you.

However, Skelly won't grant his Favor until you meet a specific weapon requirement. You need to unlock four non-Zagreus aspects across the various weapons in your arsenal.

Once you have unlocked these weapon aspects, Skelly will ask you to eliminate him using the Stygian Blade with the Zagreus aspect upgraded to level five. Upgrading this weapon to the required level will cost you five Titan Blood.

After completing Skelly's elimination Quest, give him one Ambrosia. Skelly will then present you with Rib as a reward for fulfilling his Favor in Hades.

Using Rib in Combat

When you activate Rib, Skelly appears on the battlefield to assist you. His primary function involves distracting enemies and redirecting their attacks toward himself, rather than toward you. Skelly remains active until enemies defeat him in combat.

You should exercise caution when Skelly is present, as your own attacks can damage him through friendly fire. Additionally, Rib cannot be used during encounters with Charon, as the Companion is disabled for these specific fights in Hades.
