In Ancient Depths, when you get the Soltari Shotgun, go to the big main room. There are two ways to get out of there, and you need to take both of them to open the Depths Vault.

You might notice a door with a yellow shield and a spinning eclipse symbol on it. You can't get through that yet, so just walk past it for now.

Go to the other side of the chamber instead. Jump across the stone pillars to reach the door over there. You will have to fight through several rooms filled with enemies.

Eventually, you will drop into a large area with a massive mining drill hanging from the ceiling. This is a Solar Cage room. You need to take down a Devastator and its helpers to clear the area.

Powering Up

After the fight, move into the next room and step into the teleporter. Right in front of you, you will find the Dispiritor. This is a Power Weapon that shoots out dozens of small blue shards. These shards stick to enemies and deal damage over time.

Clear out the enemies in the next room, then use a melee attack to break through the red shield. This leads to a small balcony that looks back over the main chamber.

Find the pedestal there and interact with it. Doing this turns off a blue shield and gets the Eclipse pedestal in the middle of the chamber ready to go.

Calling the Eclipse

Now that the blue shield is gone, drop back down into the main room and walk to the center platform. The Eclipse pedestal will rise up from a spinning vortex. Interact with it to start the Eclipse.

This changes the whole area. You will see machinery start moving, pillars sliding up and down, and platforms spinning.

There will also be plenty of lasers to dodge while you jump around. Most importantly, the yellow shield that was blocking the other path is now gone, so you can head through and continue your journey.

Opening the Vault

Use the Jump Network pad to head through the path that just opened. You will need to be careful with your movement here.

The mechanical parts are shifting and spinning, and there are dozens of lasers firing at different angles all along the walkway. Take your time to time your jumps correctly in Saros.

Eventually, you will come to a split in the road. Both directions are marked as your main objective. It does not matter which way you choose to go, so pick the one you like. Both paths end up at the same spot anyway.

Activating the Final Device

After you fight through another Solar Cage and take down a Devastator, look for the next teleporter. Once you go through, you will find a red shield. Use a melee attack to smash it. Behind the shield, you will find the second Vault Device. Interact with it to turn it on.

Now that both Vault Devices are running, head back to the main central chamber. The large circular gateway across from the Eclipse pedestal is now open. You can walk right through it to continue in Saros.
