Inside the belly of Lord Jabu-Jabu, you are introduced to Barinade, the Bio-Electric Anemone. This is the third major boss fight in The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time and if you aren't ready for its attack patterns it can easily trip you up.
Barinade relies heavily on electrical barriers and long-range laser blasts that can strip away your hearts in seconds.
The meeting can be thought of as having three phases. Each phase requires stripping away one layer of defenses using precise throws from your Boomerang in The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time.
Phase #1
When the fight begins, Barinade remains tethered to the room ceiling by three thick, fleshy feeding tentacles. While hanging overhead, the central body fires fast electric beams directly at your position.

Keep moving along the outer perimeter in a wide circle so the lasers hit empty ground behind you. While strafing, aim your Boomerang at the pale middle sections of the three upper tentacles.
You can use target-lock to latch onto them individually, or line up your shots manually while jogging sideways. Cut through all three tethers to send Barinade crashing down to the floor.
Phase #2
Once grounded, Barinade surrounds itself with a tight ring of electric jellyfish called Bari in The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time.
Stay away from the boss while these Bari spin at top speed. Striking them while they glow blue will shock you and deal direct damage.
Wait until the rotation slows and the protective electric field drops. As soon as you see an opening, fling your Boomerang straight at the main body.
Stunning the center body temporarily paralyzes the surrounding Bari. Use this window to pick off as many floating jellyfish as possible with your Boomerang. While your Kokiri Sword can slice them, sticking to the Boomerang keeps Link safe if the electrical field suddenly reactivates. Do this over and over again until there are no more jellyfish left in the arena.
Phase #3
Now completely stripped of its guard, Barinade breaks loose from the floor and begins sliding aggressively across the room, firing wild bursts of electricity.
Keep running to dodge the charging attacks. The moment the boss pauses, throw your Boomerang directly into the core. A solid hit stuns Barinade, causing the body to collapse flat against the ground.
Sprint in close and slash the helpless body repeatedly with your Kokiri Sword, or mix in jump slashes for double damage if you have good positioning in The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time.
After taking several hits, the boss will flash and prepare an electrical counterattack, so roll backward immediately. Continue this loop of stunning and striking until Barinade finally explodes.

FAQ
Q. Can I use the Fairy Slingshot against Barinade?
A. No, the Fairy Slingshot is no good here. Deku Seeds just bounce off Barinade and its escort, Bari, and do no damage. You have to use the Boomerang to sever tentacles, remove protective barriers, and stun the boss.
Q. Why do I keep getting shocked when hitting the boss with my sword?
A. If you hit Barinade with your blade while electricity surges through its body, the current travels up the steel and zaps Link. Always confirm that the creature is fully stunned and collapsed on the floor before running in with the Kokiri Sword.
