When you enter Kakariko Village, you will see a pen with a woman standing beside it. Her Cucco birds have run off all over town, and she needs your help bringing them back.

Grabbing them might sound simple, but a few are tucked away in tricky spots that require some extra platforming and clever gliding.

Picking up a Cucco only takes a button press, and tossing one into the fenced yard drops it into safety. Here is how you can track down all seven birds and claim your reward in The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time.

Cucco #1 Location

Turn around from where the Cucco Lady stands and check the unfinished building site right across from her. You will spot wooden planks and brick stacks sitting on the ground. The first Cucco is resting right in the middle of this area. Pick it up and throw it over the pen fence.

Second #2 Cucco Location

Walk over toward the central part of Kakariko Village and look along the western path. The second Cucco wanders around here, pecking at the dirt road. Snatch it up and carry it straight back to the pen.

Cucco #3 Location

Head over to the southern end of the village near the entrance path. You will spot a tall pile of bricks with a Cucco perched on top of it where you cannot reach by jumping.

Take out your Fairy Slingshot, aim up, and shoot a pellet at the bird to knock it down to the ground. Pick it up once it lands and toss it into the yard in The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time.

Cucco #4 Location

Run toward the northwest corner of town and stop by the building nearest the center path. You will notice a wooden crate sitting on the ground that shakes on its own.

Sprint and roll directly into the crate to shatter it. The fourth Cucco will pop out, ready for you to scoop it up and carry it to the pen.

Cucco #5 Location

Continue past the smashed crate to the westernmost house in the northwest quarter of the village. You will spot the fifth Cucco hanging out in the grass right beside the wall. Pick it up, but do not throw it into the pen yet. You need to keep this bird in your hands to reach the final two.

Cucco #6 Location

Carry your Cucco up the hill toward the entrance of the Windmill. Line yourself up on the ledge facing north toward the fenced yard below. Run forward and leap off the edge so the bird catches the air and glides you down over the tall wooden fence.

Once your boots hit the dirt inside the locked yard, toss the bird you were carrying right over the fence toward the town path. Next, walk over to the locked house inside this yard to find the sixth Cucco sitting by the wall. Grab it and throw it over the fence as well.

Cucco #7 Location

Stay inside that same fenced enclosure and check the eastern corner for a tall wooden ladder. Climb all the way up to find the final Cucco resting on the elevated platform in The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time.

Pick up this bird, jump off the edge, and glide cleanly over the perimeter gate back into the main village. Gather the two birds you threw over earlier, carry all three down to the Cucco Lady, and drop them inside the pen.

Once every single Cucco is back in the yard, speak to the Cucco Lady to receive an Empty Bottle.
