A good deal can get even better, it seems.

After a lot of rumors floating around about the new Game Pass update, Xbox finally revealed the feature as well as some details as to what it is going to be like exactly. Game Pass is a great deal, but apparently, it could be even greater. With this new update, both players and their friends are going to have access to Game Pass, because there are going to be multiple-account tiers like Netflix.
According to the official Xbox website, Game Pass Friends and Family is going to help up to four players enjoy Game Pass Ultimate at a fair price, especially considering the number of games that the feature offers. This new tier is going to be similar to the system that Netflix uses, but not exactly the same. According to the website, “Each person uses their own account and Xbox profile to save their games, track their achievements and receive personalized recommendations.” This means that it is not going to be much of a downgrade, the players won’t have to share one account.
Furthermore, everyone will be able to play multiplayer games at the same time from the Game Pass library. The feature is now being tested in Ireland and Colombia, but it is going to eventually be available for more than these two countries. According to Kotaku, if you have Game Pass Ultimate currently, when the feature becomes available “every remaining month will turn into 18 days of Game Pass Friends and Family.”
In Ireland, Game Pass Ultimate costs EUR 12.99 while this new deal of Friends and Family costs EUR 21.99. Taking into account the number of games and their costs that are available on the Game Pass library, it seems like a deal worth looking at.
