Rockstar Dropping the Third GTA 6 Trailer Before the End of 2026

When will the third trailer for Grand Theft Auto VI finally come out? That's the question everyone in the GTA community is asking since the second  GTA 6 trailer came out in May 2025. The second trailer featured a lot of new footage, screenshots, and official information, but it also started a cycle that people often follow: they watch, they guess, they wait, and then they wait some more.

You're not the only one who has watched the second GTA 6 trailer ten times already. There is truth to the rumors. However, based on Rockstar's past actions, Trailer 3 could be released in just a few months.

 Let's go back. The history of GTA V trailers tells a very interesting tale:

• The first GTA V trailer came out in November 2011.
• The second GTA V trailer came out a whole year later, in November 2012.
• The second GTA V was released in April 2013, only five months before the game's release in September.

That third trailer wasn't just another collection of clips from movies. All three videos were character-focused and showed off Michael, Franklin, and Trevor. They set the tone for their personalities and how they play. Gold was being sold.

Going to do the same thing with GTA 6? Lucia and Jason have been confirmed as two main characters, so it's not impossible that a similar approach could be used: one trailer for each character, giving us a better look at their pasts, what drives them, and the bad things they do in Vice City.

There is one more thing, though: the delay.

The game was originally scheduled for release in 2025, but Rockstar has now confirmed that it will be released on May 26, 2026. The planned marketing schedule has been thrown off by this delay. It does, however, leave the door open for a planned third trailer drop, most likely to fill the time between the first trailer drop last spring and the final weeks leading up to the movie's release.

Trailer 3 is most likely to be released in late November or early December 2025, assuming Rockstar continues its current pace with GTA VI and there are no further delays. That would put it out about six months before it actually comes out, which will keep people interested and give Rockstar time to add more information about how to play.

There is a history. Even Red Dead Redemption 2 had to wait two extra weeks before it could come out, and each delay meant that the trailer had to be re-released.

For now, Rockstar has kept quiet, which is normal for the notoriously secretive developer. However, it appears that the third trailer is set to be unveiled during the holiday season.

To answer the main question, when will GTA 6 Trailer 3 be out? If things continue as planned, November or December 2025 is when people expect it to happen. One thing is for sure: Rockstar knows how to get people excited, whether it's with a double-trailer that focuses on Lucia and Jason or a shocking montage.
