Shenmue Domains Hint at Possible Remaster

SEGA Europe has registered three new domains pertaining to Shenmue in 2016.

The three domains include Shenmuehd.com, ShenmueRemastered.com, and Shemnuegame.com. The last domain was intentionally misspelled since the domain Shenmuegame.com is already owned by another.

This could mean that the original Shenmue games could get the remastered treatment. Seeing that Shenmue 3 is currently in development and taking pre-orders it's possible that SEGA is going to take advantage of this to capitalize on selling remastered versions of the original games. With a successful Kickstarter, raising over $6 million in the original campaign, it would seem that a lot of people still love this 18 year old franchise.

Shenmue is set for December 2017 release on PS4 and PC.
