Developer Early Morning Studio announced that their game, Vampire's Fall: Origins, will be crossing over to consoles, specifically Nintendo Switch and Xbox One. The computer role-playing game (CRPG) was previously available on Steam, as well as the App Store and Google Play.
Vampire's Fall: Origins has an atmosphere and design that's reminiscent of several classics in its orbit. For instance, the isometric view and dark tones are akin to a Diablo or Baldur's Gate. Meanwhile, combat is structured more like a Japanese role-playing game (JRPG) with a command bar and a side view. Some of the somber atmosphere also has a scent of Legacy of Kain games. Particularly, the dialogue features some dark humor and snarky remarks that should be worth some risky chuckles.
Vampire's Fall: Origins is set in an open world, where the player wakes up as a vampire. There is supposed to be over 50 hours of gameplay, which can be performed with good or evil options. There's character customization involved, as well as upgrades and all those classic CRPG tropes.
If you're the sort of person that's still waiting around for Baldur's Gate 3 to drop, Vampire's Fall: Origins might be the perfect primer to pick up. It will give you a different universe to inhabit for a while. Moreover, it's been a while since a Legacy of Kain has been anywhere near us. This game is currently planned to come to the aforementioned consoles this autumn.
