Xbox's Phil Spencer Wants Banjo Kazooie in Super Smash Bros.

Without a doubt, the biggest announcement from Nintendo's recent Nintendo Direct was the brand new Super Smash Bros. being developed for Nintendo Switch. Many are still speculating what characters will be but some want other characters to join the fray, like Banjo Kazooie.

For those unaware Microsoft owns the rights to Banjo Kazooie. A fan asked Phil Spencer if they would allow the bear and bird duo to be part of the Super Smash Bros. roster to which he responded "Yep".

This caused a surge in excitement for fans of the legendary duo but this isn't a confirmation. However, the previous Super Smash Bros. had many guest stars such as Bayonetta and Cloud Strife while the Wii version introduced Snake and Sonic. Perhaps Nintendo might consider adding Banjo and Koozie to the mix as fans have been demanded it since the Wii U game launched.

Banjo Koozie isn't the only character that fans want to join in Super Smash Bros., Funimation wants Goku to join the roster as well.

Super Smash Bros. is now in development for Nintendo Switch.
