Ark Survival Ascended Guide | Secret Reaper Cave Location (Lost Colony)

Lost Colony contains a hidden Reaper cave in ARK: Survival Ascended filled with valuable resources, but the deeper sections are radioactive. You need a full Hazard Suit before safely exploring the cave and reaching the main Reaper spawn area.

Find the Lost Colony Reaper Cave

Travel to the northeastern mountain area near the large city. Look beneath the huge snow-covered mountain for a large opening cut into the wall.

The cave entrance is around 6 LAT, 59 LON.

Enter the opening and follow the path downward. A Desmodus makes traveling through the cave easier, although a suitable ground tame can also follow the route.

Equip a Hazard Suit

Radiation begins shortly after descending into the cave. Equip a complete Hazard Suit before continuing, or your survivor will rapidly take radiation damage.

Blue Gems required for Hazard Suit crafting can be gathered from Gargoyle statues in the Lost City. Congealed Gas Balls can be obtained by placing a Gas Collector on Gas Veins found in the purple aberrant areas.

Your tame may still take some environmental damage, so entering with a healthy creature is recommended.

Follow the Path to the Reaper Spawn

Continue down the main route and stay along the left wall. Pass the large Crystal formations and purple vegetation while following the path deeper underground.

The purple plants provide Organic Polymer. You will also find large amounts of Crystal and, farther down, Obsidian.

Avoid spending unnecessary time in the purple liquid because it causes additional radiation damage.

Continue toward approximately 16 LAT, 64 LON. This lower section is one of the main Reaper spawn areas inside the cave.

Reapers may not be visible immediately when you arrive, so check the surrounding section and allow time for the creatures to spawn.

Enter the cave near 6 LAT, 59 LON with a full Hazard Suit, follow the descending route, and reach roughly 16 LAT, 64 LON to find the Lost Colony Reaper spawn.
