Even if you have plenty of ship upgrades, taking on that many cannons at the same time is a huge headache. Fortunately, you do not have to fight them at all.

Here is how to use a clever cheese strategy to skip the entire naval battle, sneak onto the flagship alone, and trigger the next cutscene.

Setting Up the Glitch Checklist

To make this trick work smoothly, you want to start from the correct checkpoint. If you are already in the middle of a messy fight, let the enemies destroy your boat or desynchronize on purpose in Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced.

When you restart, you will spawn at the exact moment the enemy fleet begins to flee toward open water. The game wants you to chase them directly into a trap where their reinforcements are waiting.

Instead of falling for it, turn your ship toward the nearby island and park behind it. Use the landmass as a giant shield to block the enemy's line of sight.

The Long Swim to the Flagship
