In this Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced guide, you will find out how to enter the observation room in the Observatory and disable the defenses during the Ever a Splinter quest.

Reaching the Observation Room

As you run into the area, you will notice Spanish Soldiers fleeing and a moving energy wall ahead. Stand still and do not run directly into this wall. Wait for the energy barrier to disappear, then immediately step onto the stone platform ahead.

A moving block will land directly in front of you. Leap onto the top of this block and eliminate the hostile men standing there.

Look to your left to see a wall section that constantly shifts up and down. Wait for your current platform to drift close to it, then leap across to grab the shifting wall.

Move your grip to the left side and try to secure a hold on the higher section of the ledge. As the mechanism moves, climb upward onto the stable ledge above.

From this high ledge, look to the right side and jump onto the next platform. Another moving object will appear nearby. Wait until the path aligns, then leap off to the right hand side. The game will only let you jump when you are properly aimed at the correct target.

Once you land, follow the structural pathway forward. The camera angles will shift drastically, but keep moving in this direction to pass through the door and enter the observation room.

Defeating Guards

Inside the room, you will find a large group of Spanish Soldiers protecting Torres, who is operating the central mechanisms.

You can use the active energy defenses to your advantage during the fight. Force or kick the enemies directly into the glowing barriers to eliminate them instantly.

Once the initial waves of enemies are gone, you must shut down the security systems. Look to the lower left side of the room to locate the first device. Jump down to the lower level and interact with the object to disable it.

Neutralizing the Second Device

Disabling the first mechanism causes two large stone pillars to rise from the floor. Use these pillars to jump across toward the far wall covered in glowing lights.

Watch out for the beams of light shooting from the wall, as touching them will burn you. Before you move, remember the beam patterns.

Hang on the wall and start climbing it. Climb up and move your weight to the right side, follow the light beams to avoid danger.

Move along the designated pathway, drop slightly lower onto the steady section, and then shimmy across to the next segment. From there, climb straight up to reach the second device and interact with it to destroy it.

Shutting Down the Final Defenses

Destroying the second device makes new stone pillars emerge in the room. Jump across these newly raised pillars to head toward the left side of the area. Scale the final wall section by climbing upward until you reach the last device.

Engage it and incapacitate the mechanism. All security devices are destroyed, the defenses are down and you can move in and kill Torres to complete the objective.
