Battlefield 6 has a lot of underutilized details that many seem to miss beneath the fast-paced combat. Here are some underrated mechanics that you can utilize.
Silently Opening Gates
To open gates and doors silently without the squeak, you can ADS and interact with them at the same time.

This will open the door slowly and quietly, without revealing your position; it is definitely minor, but it’s something worth noting when the battle royale mode comes out.
ADS Keybind
A tip that will come in handy to most sniper players is that you can combine steady breath and ragefinder to the ADS button in the keybind setting.

Doing so well makes your life easier, as you won’t need to hold your breath, making sniping much easier and automated, especially when you have to take on multiple enemies.
Extinguish with Smoke
Fire from incendiaries and vehicle explosions can be extinguished by tossing smoke grenades.

It’s a simple technique that many overlookbut can come in clutch in certain areas where space may be limited.
Assault Ladder
The ladder is pretty underutilized and can help you reach hidden off angles.

Economic as a ramp, allowing you to move over gaps or even allowing you to access hidden windows and cliffs high up.
This allows you to reach unconventional areas that enemies won’t usually expect.
PS5 Trackpad Shortcut
If you’re using the PS5 controller, the trackpad in the middle can also be used for additional keybinds.

Its functionality doesn’t just come from clicking it; you’ll be allowed to assign the swipe directions, whether that be up, down, left, or right, to unique commands.
This will allow you to turn 180° instantly with a swipe down or act as a shortcut feature for different weapons and utilities.
Mirak Valley Crane
In this map, there’s a large concrete pipe that hangs from a crane, but many don’t realize that you can make it collapse by shooting at it.

Doing so can potentially take down multiple enemies at once and even tanks.
You’ll also be able to take down the crane itself, not by shooting at its base but by shooting at the counterweight at the back.
Recon Drone
The Recon Drones are pretty underutilized for how powerful they actually are.

You’ll be able to detonate mines that will create a chain reaction that can potentially wipe out entire squads, making it handy not just as a scouting tool but as a destructive weapon.
Sweet Spot
The sweet spot mechanic indicates that you are at a one-shot distance for sniper rifles.

When you see a rainbow glint from other snipers, that means you are at a shorter range; this alerts you to take cover.
But you could also use this as an advantage, as they are also at a one-shot range for you.
Engineer Mine
If you’re playing as an engineer, you can disarm and reuse enemy anti-vehicle mines.
This will allow you to clear the way for your teammates but also let you take the mines and place them later.
Revive Your Allies
Funnily enough, another pretty underutilized mechanic in the game is that you’re allowed to revive your teammates.

Support specialists can bring back down allies back into combat; it’s pretty simple, but many players seem to play selfishly and tend to neglect their teammates.
Getting used to all of these mechanics can keep you a step ahead of the rest.
