How to Reach Bloodied Dagger Excavation

Xanthe's Excavations: Bloodied Dagger is a Court Activity located in the Tantari Woods.

• Travel to the excavation site in the Tantari Woods.
• Enter the ruins and defeat the enemies inside.
• Continue through the excavation until you reach the final chamber.
• Defeat Armaya, Scholar of the Occult.

After defeating Armaya, do not leave the chamber. The sealed chest containing the Ancient Footwear is located nearby.

How to Unlock the Ancient Footwear Chest

You cannot open the chest through normal interaction. You must complete the following steps.

• Find the Ritual Dagger

After defeating Armaya, activate Focus Mode and look toward the left side of the chamber.

The Ritual Dagger will be highlighted on the wall. Pick it up and keep it in your inventory.

• Use Compel Soul on Armaya's Assistant

Next, look for the corpse lying directly in front of the sealed chest. This is Armaya's Assistant.

Interact with the corpse and select Compel Soul. The soul will reveal information about the Ritual Dagger and explain how to use it to open the chest.

• Open the Sealed Chest

Return to the chest after using Compel Soul.

Interact with it and use the Ritual Dagger as the key. The seal will break, allowing you to open the chest and collect the Ancient Footwear.

If the Chest Won't Open

If the chest remains sealed, make sure you have:

• Defeated Armaya, Scholar of the Occult.
• Collected the Ritual Dagger from the left side of the chamber.
• Used Compel Soul on the correct corpse.
• Returned to the chest after completing both steps.
