Breathedge 2 Guide | Where to Find Aluminium

Aluminum is an important crafting and repair material in Breathedge 2. Unlike ordinary Metal floating around the starting area, Aluminum must be mined from deposits on large asteroids. You also need the Thumper before you can collect it.

Craft the Thumper First

Before searching for Aluminum, unlock and craft the Thumper. This is the drilling tool required to harvest Aluminum deposits, so finding a deposit without the Thumper will not let you collect the resource.

Equip the Thumper before leaving the base to avoid making an unnecessary return trip.

Search the Large Asteroids

Leave the base and fly toward the large asteroids surrounding the starting area. Aluminum is found directly on their surfaces rather than among the loose pieces of debris floating near the train.

Move slowly around each asteroid and inspect its surface from different angles. Not every section will contain a usable deposit.

Look for Orange-Silver Deposits

Aluminum deposits have a noticeable orange-silver metallic appearance against the darker asteroid surface. They can blend into the rock from a distance, so move closer when checking suspicious patches.

Once you identify a deposit, equip the Thumper and use it on the Aluminum until the material is extracted.

Collect Aluminum Whenever You Find It

Aluminum is needed for crafting and repairing several important items as you progress, so it is worth mining deposits whenever you encounter them.

Exploring the asteroids also takes you away from the safety of the base. Watch your oxygen and environmental protection while searching instead of staying outside longer than your equipment allows.
