Breathedge 2 Guide | How to Make the Thumper

The Thumper is a vital early tool in Breathedge 2 because it is your drill and allows you to gather materials for later equipment, such as the Cutter. Complete the first objectives, build the Scrap, and explore around the train locations until you unlock the Thumper recipe.

Unlock the Thumper Recipe

After completing the opening quest and crafting the Scrap, investigate the interactable locations around the train. This unlocks the Thumper blueprint in the Gear section of the crafting menu.

The recipe requires 4 Metal and 2 Plastic.

Collect 4 Metal

Metal is common around the starting area. Look for floating Metal salvage or nearby metal drums and break them with the Scrap. Continue harvesting until you have four pieces of Metal.

Collect 2 Plastic

Search the nearby wreckage for small, dark, rounded Plastic deposits protruding from debris. Break these deposits with the Scrap and collect two Plastic.

Plastic can be easy to overlook because the deposits blend into wreckage, so check the sides of damaged structures carefully.

Craft and Equip the Thumper

Once you have 4 Metal and 2 Plastic, return to the crafting menu and create the Thumper. After crafting it, assign the tool to an available hotbar slot so you can equip it quickly while exploring.
