Find the Purity Tree for the Clumsy Slime quest and prepare for the Rough Toad fight.

The Purity Tree is one of the key targets in the Clumsy Slime quest in Dave the Diver: In the Jungle. The route is easy to miss if you are moving quickly through the jungle, and the mission becomes more dangerous the moment you start chopping. This guide explains where to go, what tool you need, and what happens after the tree falls.

Start the Clumsy Slime Quest

The Purity Tree objective appears during the Clumsy Slime quest after you speak with Peneb. Before you can harvest the tree, you need a Black Iron Axe. If the axe is not ready yet, visit Perak at the Blacksmith and upgrade your tool first. Do not head into the jungle without healing items, because reaching the tree also leads into a boss encounter.

After getting the Black Iron Axe, enter the jungle from Utara Village and move forward until you reach the main crossroads. Take the left path at the fork and continue following it to the end. The Purity Tree is a tall, narrow tree standing at the end of this route. Walk up to it and use the axe to start cutting.

Cut away at the Purity Tree until it falls. This is the right tree for the quest, so you don't need to go back to the lake or look further into the bush.

What Happens After You Cut the Purity Tree

The Rough Toad shows up right away after the Purity Tree falls. If you only came for the wood, this fight might catch you off guard. The Rough Toad strikes with poison, so Antidote Herbs and items that help you heal are very helpful. Keep the party healthy, get rid of poison quickly, and don't waste turns when the boss starts to put pressure on the whole team.

Finish the Quest

After you beat the Rough Toad, go back to Utara Village and talk to Peneb. He makes the slime toy out of wood from the Purity Tree. You need to bring the toy back to Perak to finish the Clumsy Slime task and move the village request along.
