Dave the Diver Guide | How to Get Broken Breathing Apparatus

The Broken Breathing Apparatus is one of the main story items needed near the end of Chapter 2 in Dave the Diver: In the Jungle. It is part of Muna’s Ancient’s Diving Gear quest and sits much deeper than the early lake objectives. You need the right Purification Filter upgrade before searching for it.

Prepare for the Deep Lake Search

Before going after the Broken Breathing Apparatus, upgrade to the Advanced Purification Filter. The target area is around 72m deep, so the earlier filter levels are not enough for a safe trip. Bring good oxygen capacity, healing supplies, and enough time on the filter meter to search the lake floor carefully.

Broken Breathing Apparatus Location

Dive into Utara Lake and descend toward the middle of the lake floor. The Broken Breathing Apparatus is found at around 72.2m. Look for a yellow objective marker on the bed of the lake. Since the underwater layout can change between dives, search across the floor at that depth instead of relying on one exact screen position.

Collect the Shiny Stone Nearby

Do not leave immediately after picking up the Broken Breathing Apparatus. A Shiny Stone is nearby, covered by a pile of dead branches. Interact with the branch pile and collect the stone before surfacing. Muna needs both items, so grabbing only the apparatus will leave the quest unfinished.

Return to Muna

Surface safely and return to Utara Village. Speak with Muna near the tents and hand over the Broken Breathing Apparatus and the Shiny Stone. After you rest, the story moves into Chapter 3, where the focus shifts to the Diving Suit of the Sunang Civilization.
