Dave The Diver Guide | How To Start The In The Jungle DLC

Learn both ways to begin the In The Jungle DLC in DAVE THE DIVER and prepare properly before leaving the Blue Hole.

The In The Jungle DLC for Dave The Diver doesn't start right away after it's installed. You still have to do the first few things before Dave can go to the jungle, even after the content is available. You can start the DLC in two ways: from a saved game that has already been finished, or from a brand-new save that starts in the jungle.

Start The DLC From A Completed Save

After installing the In The Jungle DLC, you will see a pop-up explaining that the content becomes available after finishing the main game. Once the main story is complete, go for a dive in the Blue Hole. You can either surface immediately or complete a normal dive first.

After Dave surfaces, Dr. Bacon should appear and speak with him. This begins the setup for the DLC. At this stage, Dr. Bacon tells Dave to speak with Bancho, so head to the restaurant and go through the dialogue there.

Talk To Bancho And Call Dr. Bacon

After speaking with Bancho, the game tells you to call Dr. Bacon whenever you are ready to begin the DLC. This call is the final step before the In The Jungle story officially starts.

Before making the call, it is important to prepare. Once the DLC begins, you cannot return to the Blue Hole until the DLC is complete. That means you should finish any important tasks, upgrades, or collecting before leaving.

Prepare Before Leaving The Blue Hole

Although some main diving gear can still be upgraded in the jungle, it is much easier to do those upgrades while you still have access to Blue Hole resources. Before calling Dr. Bacon, upgrade useful gear such as Harpoons, Traps, Diving Suits, Knives, and O2 as much as possible.

It is also worth noting that the Dr. Bacon trigger may not appear on certain weather days. Rainy days, stormy days, or misty days caused by the DREDGE DLC may stop the event from triggering properly. If Dr. Bacon does not appear, try again on a clearer day.

Start The DLC From A New Save

The second way to begin the In The Jungle DLC is by starting a new save file. When creating the save, choose the option that lets you start directly in the jungle. This allows you to play the DLC first and move to the Blue Hole after completing it.

This is the best choice if you aren’t already in the middle of a playthrough or if you want to jump into the jungle content right away. For an existing save, finish the main game, dive once, meet Dr. Bacon, speak with Bancho, prepare your gear, and then call Dr. Bacon to begin the DLC.
