Since the Black Caiman is aggressive and appears in a specific lake area, it is best to prepare before starting the hunt.

Start the Taste of Fish Request

The Black Caiman Tail becomes important during Bonita’s The Taste of Fish request. Bancho needs 1x Black Caiman Tail, 2x Thai Chili, and 1x Palm Sugar for the VIP dish. Gather the supporting ingredients from cooking pots and jungle ingredient spots while you save the lake run for the tail.

Where to Find the Black Caiman

The Black Caiman can be found in Utara Lake, usually in the upper-right part of the shallow zone around 0-35m. Move carefully when you enter this area, because the creature behaves like a crocodile and can rush Dave if you get too close. Bring enough oxygen, ammo, and a reliable Jungle Gun upgrade before engaging it.

How to Get the Tail

Attack from a safe distance and don’t hover right in front of the Black Caiman. A better rifle or a Jungle Gun setup in a sniper manner makes the fight easier since it allows you to deal damage without being in the danger zone for too long. Defeat the Black Caiman and harvest it for the Black Caiman Tail to complete the mission.

If your oxygen drops too low, retreat and reset instead of forcing the fight. The Black Caiman can punish rushed movement, and losing the dive may cost you more time than returning with better supplies.

Prepare the VIP Dish

Once the tail is secured, make sure the Thai Chili and Palm Sugar are also ready. Return to Bancho Grill and prepare Stir-Fried Crocodile Tail for Bonita. Completing this VIP request helps progress the restaurant route and opens more value from the jungle menu.
