Dave the Diver Guide | How to Find Carpenter

Find Peneb the Carpenter and gather materials to repair Dave’s house in Utara Village.

The Carpenter becomes important after Dave spends his first night in Utara Village during Dave the Diver: In the Jungle. Cobra brings up the need to repair Dave’s house and sends you to find someone in the village who knows carpentry. That person is Peneb, the local Carpenter.

Where to Find Peneb the Carpenter

To find Peneb, head to the far right side of Utara Village. He lives on the eastern side of the town, close to his shop and house. Talk to him to keep working on the repair goal. Get an ax from Peneb. You'll need it to cut down trees close and get Bangkirai Wood.

Get Bangkirai Wood with the Axe

After receiving the Axe, chop the light brown trees around Peneb’s area. The tree near the bench beside his house is a good starting point. You need 5x Bangkirai Wood for the house repair, so cut more than one tree if the first one does not give enough material.

Keep the Axe in mind for later village tasks as well. Many furniture and tool upgrades in the DLC require wood materials gathered from trees.

Collect Lake Vine and Return to Cobra

The repair also needs 2x Lake Vine. Dive into Utara Lake and look along ceilings, overhangs, and hanging plant areas in the upper 0-55m depth range.

Interact with the vines when the prompt appears, then surface and return to Cobra near the tents. Choose the house repair dialogue to hand over the 5x Bangkirai Wood and 2x Lake Vine.
