DRAGON QUEST VII Reimagined Guide | Metal King Slime Farming Location

Fast postgame leveling with a reliable spawn area, a simple crit setup, and huge EXP payouts.

Farming Metal King Slimes is one of the fastest ways to catch up if leveling up feels slow in the postgame. This method is based on a certain island spawn, a plan for a high-crit attack, and a simple change to the settings that makes every win count. You can quickly finish fights, do them over and over, and get a lot of experience in just a few minutes.

Where to Look for Metal King Slimes

Metal King Slimes appear on an island in the Lo Area. Find the Lo Area section on the world map. If it is unlocked, go to the island zone that is marked in that area. This is a good place to grind because the spawns happen often enough that a failed attempt doesn't slow down the farm.

What You Can Expect from Spawns

At this place, you might run into more than one Metal King Slime at a time. The best outcome for fast leveling is for three to show up in one battle. These enemies do not always stick around for long, so the goal is to land finishing hits quickly before the chance slips away.

Best Setup Before You Start to Farm

Before you start grinding, make sure the EXP Slider is set to Max. This one change makes every battle much more valuable, especially when there are a lot of Metal King Slimes.

A character with high Deftness is also helpful because strategies that focus on crits work better when hits and crits are more reliable. This setup is easy to use, but it makes the farm run much better.

Hatchet Man's Fast Kill Strategy

When you are a pirate, use Hatchet Man. Hatchet Man is the most important part of the method because it doesn't always hit, but when it does, it does a lot of damage. That critical hit makes the difference between winning quickly and missing out.

Keep attacking and try again and again with Hatchet Man to get the kills. It's normal to miss, so the best thing to do is to keep swinging until you hit something.

Using Ruff for Farming That Works Every Time

When Ruff is built for the right role, this farm works well. The strategy for running Ruff with the Pirate Vocation is simple: just keep doing Hatchet Man until the targets drop. This method still works even when luck is mixed in, because there are enough encounters in the area to keep the grind going.

EXP You Can Get After Each Fight

When you set the EXP Slider to Max and kill three Metal King Slimes, you can get up to 136,000 EXP in one battle. This place is very popular for postgame power leveling because that amount is enough to quickly get through several levels.

Keep going back to the island fights, try to get into battles with more than one enemy, and stay aggressive with Hatchet Man to keep the fun going.
