The L'Arca Animal Festival is a quick and fun way to get a strong defensive item in Dragon Quest 7 Reimagined. When the curse in the L'Arca Region is broken, sail back to the present and look at the town again.

The surprise happens right away. People have become animals again, and the festival is in full swing. This guide tells you where to go, what to do, and how to win the contest fairly.

How to Get Into the L'Arca Animal Festival Right Now

First, make sure that the curse is gone from the L'Arca Region. Then, take a ship to the area in the present. The animal problem comes back as soon as you get there, so the next step is to look into it and move the story along through the town's festival.

Go to the Mayor's House to find out the rules for the contest.

Head up the hill and stop by the Mayor's house. If you want to know more about the festival and the contest, talk to the Mayor. The main goal is to tell the difference between a real animal and a fake one. Then, talk to the Maid inside the house. She talks about important details about costumes, and not being there for this talk can slow things down.

Get the pig costume before you enter the contest.

Find the place where you can get your costume and put it on before you join the activity. The Pig Costume is what this person is wearing, and it makes the festival feel light and silly, especially if Ruff is there. Put on the costume and go back outside to talk to the person in charge of the contest.

How to win the contest at the Animal Festival

When the contest host asks you to join, say yes. When the game starts, pay attention to the animals that don't seem right. You should choose the Cow first, then the Dog, and finally the Horse. Each right choice shows a person in disguise, and getting all three is a complete win.

Get the Ruby of Protection Prize

The Mayor seems to congratulate you and give you the prize after you win. You get the Ruby of Protection, which you should put on right away if you need more defense. This accessory gives you +22 defense, which is a big boost for the time being.
