Finding collectibles in Ghostwire: Tokyo can take a long time when Tanuki, Jizo Statues, and Relics blend into the city. A fast method exists that helps you spot these targets without guessing.

Using an Offering Box at some shrines and paying Meika is all you need to do to get started. After that, new map icons will appear to assist you remain on task and finish your cleanup runs more quickly.

Check Area Completion Before You Start Searching

Open the map and hover over an area such as Namihara Shrine. The area completion panel shows what is still missing in that zone, including the total number of Tanuki and Jizo Statues left to find. Even if the map only shows a few icons at first, the completion counts tell you if the hunt is worth doing right now.

Use The Offering Box To Reveal Tanuki Hunt Icons

Go to the shrine and interact with the Offering Box. Make a small offering, such as 100 Meika, then choose the wish that helps you find more Tanuki.

After the prayer, the sound plays. Open the map again. A paw icon appears, which marks a Tanuki Hunt in that area. This can place the target very close to the shrine, so it often turns into a quick pickup.

Follow The Paw Marker And Search Nearby Hiding Spots

The paw emblem will make the disguise more harder to spot, but it won't reveal it immediately. As you approach the sign, keep an eye out for any spots that don't seem quite right, such as roofs or little alleys, where people might be hiding.

Since the method is designed to guide collection searching in the present zone, this wish-based technique can also help when you are stuck on Jizo Statues.

Swap Areas To Reset The Wish And Track Something Else

Relics, Tanuki Statues, and Jizo Statues cannot be tracked together because only one wish can be used at a time. Quick travel is the simplest solution. Jump to a new area, return, and use the Offering Box once more. Without spending time, you can switch targets with this fast reset.

Use The Same Method In Bigger Zones Like Shiroyama

Large areas, such as Shiroyama Shrine, can make Tanuki harder to locate because the search space is much larger. The wish trick still works, but the price may be higher.

In some places, the Tanuki wish can cost 500 Meika, so make sure you have enough currency before starting the sweep. Once the paw icon appears, follow it the same way and clean up the area faster.

Reveal Relics For Nekomata Requests

When Nekomata requests Relics, use the wish option to find what you are looking for. This reveals one Relic in the current area.

The marker is not extremely precise, but it gives a strong direction and reduces wasted wandering. If more Relics are still missing, fast travel away and return to repeat the process.

Understand The Limits Of This Collectible Trick

This method does not help with KK's Investigation Notes or Voice Logs. It also depends on having an Offering Box available, and not every area reliably provides one. When an area has no place to make a wish, the search must rely on normal exploration and careful map scanning.
