Jurassic World Evolution 2 Guide | Stop Dinosaurs From Fighting
A fast, practical way to reduce constant enclosure fights by managing Dominance the right way.

Watching dinosaurs fight all the time is frustrating. The good news is that stopping most fights is simple once Dominance makes sense. When enclosure battles keep repeating, it usually comes down to one stat and the order you release dinosaurs.
Dominance Is The Real Trigger
It is all about Dominance. Open the dinosaur that keeps fighting and check the Dominance number. Dominance is calculated by adding Attack and Defense. Some traits can also add extra Aggression, like a +30 Aggression trait. That bonus increases Dominance, but it does not improve the dinosaur’s real fighting ability.

Why Stronger Dinosaurs Still Lose The “Peace” Battle
A dinosaur can have higher Dominance while not being stronger in actual combat stats. You might see lower real Attack and Defense, yet the dinosaur still pushes conflict. If a dinosaur enters an enclosure with higher Dominance than the current Alpha, it will keep fighting until it becomes the Alpha. It does not matter if it is weaker. It will keep challenging, over and over, until the hierarchy flips.

Why Dinosaurs Fight In The First Place
Many herd species fight constantly because the Dominance order is unstable. This happens a lot with Triceratops-type behavior, where the herd keeps testing leadership. If you are not watching the Dominance stat, you can end up creating a situation where leadership is always being challenged. When two dinosaurs have the same Dominance, they can fight to decide who leads. When a new dinosaur has higher Dominance, it can restart the whole leadership war.
How To Stop Fighting With Release Order
When you create a new dinosaur group, release your highest Dominance dinosaur first. You can also release a small batch where several have the same high Dominance. They may fight once, establish the Alpha, and then settle. After that, keep releasing dinosaurs with lower Dominance than the established Alpha. When a dinosaur has lower Dominance, it will not keep challenging, even if it has higher Attack or higher Defense.
Adjust Dominance With Genome Changes
If you already made a dinosaur causing trouble, you can lower its Dominance before release. Go to Synthesize and use the Modified Genome options. Lowering Strength or Defense will lower Dominance, as Dominance is based on those core stats. You can also adjust traits that make dinosaurs more social, which can reduce the pressure that leads to constant leadership disputes.

Quick Mental Check Before You Release
Always compare the new dinosaur’s Dominance to the current Alpha. If the newcomer is higher, expect repeated fights until leadership changes. If the newcomer is lower, the enclosure is much more likely to stay calm. Once you build herds with this rule in mind, fights drop sharply, and injuries become far less common.
