Unlock Aviary buildings fast by choosing the right era, then research them in the correct menu.

If you start in Chaos Theory or dabble in the Campaign and still cannot find the Aviary, the issue is usually the scenario era. Starting in the original Jurassic Park setting means you are effectively playing in 1993.
In that era, you do not get modern features like the Aviary and certain newer park options, because the scenario is built to match that time period.

Pick a Later Scenario for Modern Buildings
To access updated dinosaur and park features, choose a later scenario instead. Going with Jurassic World is the simplest option if you want the modern content available in your park.
A “return” style scenario can also work, as long as it is set in a later era that supports modern building sets.
Use Sandbox Mode for Instant Availability
If you want everything available from the start, Sandbox Mode is the quickest route. When you start a sandbox game, set buildings so that all buildings are available. This makes every building appear, including the Aviary, but you still need to research it as you would in a normal save.

Research the Aviary in the Right Menu
Once you are in a game, open Research and look for the Aviary unlock. After researching it, the flying reptiles become available as options, and you can move into the related Aviary content. The Aviary research and connected items appear within the research categories, so keep checking the building and creation-related tabs until you see the unlock.

Meet the Park Rating Requirement
To unlock the Aviary, you typically need to raise your Park Rating to 2.0, which is not hard to reach in most saves. After that, more Aviary upgrades also become available, so the unlock is only the first step.

Scientist Tips for Faster Research
Some upgrades can demand strong scientist stats, especially when research needs heavy investment in specific skills. It works better when you build teams around their strengths rather than trying to make everyone equally balanced.
When a project requires a high level of expertise in one area, a specialist scientist setup helps you achieve research goals faster and with fewer bottlenecks.
