Identify Genome Fossils vs Cash Value Fossils

Some dinosaur fossils are used to increase a dinosaur's genome. These fossils make dinosaurs easier to hatch, and they help when you want to make eggs. You can spot them because the fossil details indicate that they increase the genome.

Other fossils will clearly show cash value. These are the fossils you can use to earn money. If it says "Cash Value," it is meant for selling through the normal in-game process.

How to Sell Fossils Through Scientist Assignments

You do not sell fossils through a separate sales menu. Instead, you click the fossils that show cash value, and you add them to an assignment for your scientists. After the assignment finishes, you get the money.

Why Selling Fossils Helps Your Budget

Every assignment costs $50,000. That cost adds up fast, so selling cash-value fossils is a good way to offset it. If you have space, you can throw those rocks into the assignment while you are doing other tasks. It does not hurt anything, and it helps you recover money you are already spending.

You cannot sell the fossils that do not have cash value. If a fossil only increases the genome, it will not convert into money. If it does not show cash value, you cannot sell it.
