Jurassic World Evolution 2 Guide | How To Disinfect A Feeder
Stop a bad Feeder from making dinosaurs sick again and again.
Game Guide by Jubair Baky on Feb 13, 2026
If a feeder keeps making a dinosaur sick continuously, disinfecting it is the quick fix. This usually comes up when you already know the problem is the feeder, but you are not sure what to do next.

Why A Feeder Becomes Infected
A feeder can get infected when dinosaurs are not eating from it. It may happen if the feeder is placed somewhere no one will use. The food then sits there for a long time. After that, it rots, just like real life. That rot is what leads to the infection.
Use A Ranger To Handle The Feeder
The Ranger is responsible for feeders. The same unit also resupplies the Goat Feeder, so it makes sense that disinfecting is handled here as well. When the Feeder is infected, you assign the right task to the Ranger Team.

Add The Disinfect Task The Same Way As Repairs
To do it, click the Ranger Team, then choose Add Tasks. This works much like Repairs. You add a task, select the target, and the team carries it out. After selecting the infected feeder, you will see the option to disinfect it. Choose that option, and the job is done.

Small Placement Fix That Helps Prevent It
If the infection keeps returning, the real problem is often that the dinosaurs are not eating from that feeder. Adjust the placement so it is somewhere they actually use. When the food does not sit untouched, it is far less likely to rot and cause the same issue again.
