Roaring Moon is one of the coolest Paradox Pokémon you can get, but if you're not ready, it might not show up when you expect it to. Getting a small Dragon encounter boost first and then going straight to the right cave in Area Zero is the best way to set up. When you get to the right spot, Roaring Moon may show up in the cave area, and you can catch it like any other wild animal.

Get A Dragon Encounter Power Boost

Start in the main Academy area and go to the restaurant shown on the map. Buy the food that gives a Dragon Encounter Power boost at level 1. This helps Dragon-type spawns show up more often, which can make Roaring Moon appear faster once you reach the cave.

Travel To Area Zero And Warp To Station Three

After eating the boost food, go to Area Zero. Use fast travel and teleport directly to Research Station 3. This is the best starting point because it puts you close to the hidden cave path.

Follow The Short Route To The Hidden Cave

From Research Station 3, move straight toward the large tree in the distance. When you reach the rocky section, turn into the rocks and look for a small hidden cave entrance. This cave is easy to miss at first, so slow down when you reach the rock wall and check for an opening.

Search The Cave Area For Roaring Moon

Go inside and move through the cave area. Roaring Moon can appear anywhere in this general spot, so keep circling and scanning the open space. If it does not show up instantly, keep moving within the same area for a moment while the Dragon Encounter Power is active.

Catch Roaring Moon

Once you see Roaring Moon, approach and start the battle. Catch it the same way you would catch any other wild Pokémon. If it takes time to stay in the ball, weaken it safely and use the best Poké Balls you have available.
