Pokémon Scarlet And Violet Guide | How to Get to Area Zero
Finish the three main story paths first, then travel to the crater gate and enter to start the final story section.

Reaching Area Zero is the moment when Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet shift into the final stage of the story. The crater is visible on the map for a long time, but you cannot go inside whenever you want. You must clear the main story paths first, then head to the correct entrance and walk in to trigger the next sequence.
Complete The Three Main Story Paths First
To access Area Zero, you need to finish Path of Legends, Starfall Street, and Victory Road. After you complete Path of Legends and battle with Arven, he will tell you to meet at the crater. However, you still must finish the other two paths as well before you can actually go in. If even one path is unfinished, the crater progression will not be ready.

Go To The Town Near The Crater Entrance
Once all three paths are complete, head to the town shown in the route and start moving toward the crater from there. From the town, climb up the path leading toward the crater wall. As you follow the trail upward, the crater entrance becomes obvious because you will see the huge crater edge directly ahead.

Walk Up The Path And Enter The Gate
Keep climbing the path until you reach the crater gate area. When you reach the opening, go inside. Entering triggers a cutscene and sets you into the final sequence of the game inside Area Zero.
Flying To The Crater Later
After you progress far enough, you can eventually fly closer to the crater area. Early on, though, the reliable method is to use the town approach and climb the path as shown on the route.
