Here’s how you can solve the Shrine Vault Puzzle and get the Untouchable Trophy.

The Untouchable Trophy in Silent Hill f is awarded if you’re able to complete the Shrine Vault Puzzle without getting hit and taking damage. The puzzle section will start after you follow the masked fox to the right-hand side of the map.

Before starting, as a precaution, you’ll want to save at a nearby prayer shrine. It’s important to do so, as if you do end up taking damage, you’ll be able to reload the safe and redo the puzzle without losing progress.

The objective of the puzzle is to locate the three ema boards that will match the symbol shown in the journal; the symbols will vary depending on the difficulty you are playing on, and their locations will also be randomised.

If you’re playing on easy mode, you’ll likely get: serpent, bird, and tortoise.

You’ll want to locate each of the ema boards before the fight begins. While searching, you can also find a cat ema, which is a part of the Omamori collectibles in the game. Collected before starting the puzzle, otherwise it might be locked out.

Once you enter the proper path, the encounter with the monster should start.

His move set will include large overhead strikes and a flurry of swipes, both of which can be parried. Doing so well incapacitated, giving you a lot of time to deal damage for taking him out.

You’ll want to try avoiding being the aggressor for this fight; instead, try timing your attacks whilst being defensive, as it will prevent you from getting hit.

Once the monster has been taken out, check your diary again for the ema boards and quickly complete the step before the monster comes back.

After collecting all of the symbols, head to the shrine door and insert the correct door lock combination using your diary.
