The "Contraband Contrivance" quest in The Outer Worlds 2 requires you to retrieve a stone package and return it to Trooper Ward. This guide will explain how you can complete this platforming retrieval quest.

You can initiate the quest by speaking to the two troopers who will argue near the quest marker.

One of them supposedly got injured due to an incident caused by the other; having a short conversation will review what happened.

After the brief dialogue, the troopers will direct you to where to go to complete the objective and find the lost package.

After which, you’ll need to head towards the marked area and navigate by activating the Rift Anomalies, which basically provides you with a platform to climb upon.

Using the stairs, quickly make your way up the elevator.

From which you will walk across the upper platform until there are cracks in between the platforms, it is there that you’ll find another Rift Anomaly.

The Rift Anomaly will fill in the gaps, making a bridge across to the other side of the platform. After going across, you’ll see a large green container floating.

Loading the container will acquire you with the package. After collecting it, you’ll be able to exit through a sealed-off vent right beside it.

Once you've exited, you can return the package to Trooper Ward to complete the Contraband Contrivance quest, one of the easier and shorter quests in The Outer Worlds 2.
