Capcom Makes Adjustments to Resident Evil Village Anti-Piracy After Backlash
New update for Resident Evil Village now available

Recently Digital Foundry published a damning video showcasing that Resident Evil Village performed better without the anti-piracy on PC. The internet was not pleased when learning this and today Capcom has a new update to try and adjust for this to increase optimization.
An important update for Resident Evil Village players on Steam:

- FidelityFX Super Resolution (FSR) from AMD is now supported. FSR supports higher frame rates on PC for an improved gaming experience.
- Adjustments have been made to optimize the anti-piracy technology.
The update does the following:

Resident Evil Village is now available for PS4, PS5, Xbox Series, Xbox One, and PC.
