Dark Souls Online Services Taken Down Until Elden Ring's Release

Recently a massive security breach was discovered in the PC versions of the Dark Souls franchise, with Bandai Namco and FromSoftware taking extreme measures to protect users by shutting down all online functions. Today the companies confirmed the online services for Dark Souls will remain offline until the release of Elden Ring.

The reason behind this is to ensure proper security between Elden Ring and Dark Souls. Both Bandai Namco and FromSoftware are taking more security measures and to ensure Elden Ring releases without this issue they've decided to keep the service offline until a battery of tests has been completed. This is only for the PC version of the game.

Elden Ring will launch on February 25th for PS4, PS5, Xbox Series, Xbox One, and PC.
