Dismal Release of Overkill’s The Walking Dead Forces Starbreeze to Reconstruct and Parting Ways With CEO
Overkill’s The Walking Dead poor performance causes reconstruction of Starbreeze

Overkill's The Walking Dead was much more important than previously for publisher Starbreeze. With the game performing poorly Starbreeze has announced that it's reconstructing the company and Starbreeze CEO Bo Andersson announced earlier today that he will be leaving his position with the company.

Starbreeze Publishing, Starbreeze Production, Starbreeze Studios, Enterspace, and Enterspace International has filed for reconstruction with the Stockholm District Court. During this span, “no payments can be made to suppliers for services or goods relating to the period prior to the date of filing for reconstruction.”
Salaries for current employees with still flowing as normal but financial targets for Q4 and 2020 have been thrown out.
Clearly, Starbreeze needs a killer game to recover from the poor sales of Overkill's The Walking Dead. Perhaps Payday 3 will make the dent the company needs or maybe the second season of Overkill's The Walking Dead will make a leap in player count.
