Mortal Kombat 11 On Nintendo Switch And PC Won't Get Cross-Play
Nintendo Switch versions of Mortal Kombat 11 won't get cross-play
News by Adam Siddiqui on Nov 12, 2020
Cross-play is the next massive step in gaming. With more developers and publishers allowing players to play between platforms. Next-generation consoles are now available and cross-play is being implemented with future games but not all games are getting these appealing options. With Mortal Kombat 11 on the Switch and PC missing out on this feature.

On Nov 17, Krossplay will become Kross Generation for Playstation & Xbox players. Toggle the feature in settings to play Casual matches w/ players on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series XIS, & Xbox One, as well as in designated Online Rooms. This feature will not be available on Switch or PC. pic.twitter.com/kDWMz5mUG9

As reported by Comicbook both platforms won't feature the option but Xbox One, Xbox Series, PS5, and PS4 will have cross-play. It's not clear why this is happening. My personal guess, perhaps it's technical with PC and with Switch performance. This is my guess as WB Games, the publisher has a notorious history of having poorly performing PC versions of their games such as Batman: Arkham Knight as the most notorious example. MK11 was also saturated with issues on PC that have mostly been resolved.
