New 3DS XL SNES Edition Announced for North American Release

Those who were vexed that the Nintendo 3DS XL Super NES Edition was a Europe exclusive will be ecstatic to learn that a New 3DS XL SNES Edition is coming to the USA.

This version of the New 3DS XL will dawn the classic blue and gray color design of the original SNES and designed with the same top-down look as the console. It'll cost $199.99 and release on November 27th along with a download code for the SNES version of Super Mario Kart.

Like the SNES Classic, it's likely that this system will sell out immediately. Supply issues have been a recurring theme with Nintendo such as the NES Classic, Amiibos, SNES Classic, and Nintendo Switch. Nintendo has attempted to remedy the situation but some still have to turn to third-party sites like eBay and Amazon to purchase much of Nintendo's highly demanded items at nearly double the asking price.
