Square Enix Promises New Final Fantasy Games in 2018
A new Final Fantasy coming next year

Other than Kingdom Hearts 3 many fans of Square Enix are looking for the company to provide more Final Fantasy, the key franchise of the company. While announcements for new games in the series have been limited to Final Fantasy XV, which took nearly a decade to develop, and the MMO Final Fantasy XIV Shinji Hashimoto has assured fans that new games in the beloved franchise will launch in 2018.
“Next year will be a big one,” Hashimoto said in an interview with Edamame Arcade Channel, where he mostly discussed the Final Fantasy Trading Card Game. “And we will bring exciting, new Final Fantasy games to the world. Thank you all for your support.”
Hashimoto did not say what Final Fantasy game would come out in 2018. It could be the first episode of Final Fantasy 7 Remake or a spinoff title. As of now, only Dissidia Final Fantasy NT is confirmed to release in 2018.
Besides Final Fantasy 7 Remake, many gamers are eagerly awaiting the release of Kingdom Hearts 3 which has a new placeholder date of November 2018. Another game that has seen extensive development time.
