Similar to the first The Last of Us, its sequel is releasing near the end of the PS4 run and near the PS5's reveal; if rumors of its reveal are true. Recently, producer of The Game Awards Geoff Keighley, who is also a character in Death Stranding, confirmed a media event for September 24th for The Last of Us Part II. While it's not certain what will be revealed some speculate it's a release date.

Tibets of The Last of Us Part II have been surfacing for a while now. Rumors such as 4 different editions and a possible February 2020 release date have been circulating for some time now. We didn't get any new information at E3 2019 and with this media event its likely we won't get anything at the TSG 2019.
The Last of Us Part II has been one of the most highly anticipated games of this generation. The first game was renowned for its acclaimed narrative and surprisingly deep multiplayer. It would eventually release on the PS4 as The Last of Us Remastered and since then fans have been waiting for the next game. With The Last of Us Part II starring Ellie as the protagonist, now a teenager, and a much more advanced AI. Where enemies will search hidden locations, often convey their positions to their allies, and work in tangent with one another. A lot like Metal Gear Solid V's enemy AI.
The Last of Us Part II is now in development for PS4 and apparently PS5.
